Seven Records in Seven Years

Bvlgari presents its seventh world record, the Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar: the slimmest perpetual calendar watch on the market, featuring a total thickness of just 5.80 mm. The development of the 2.75 mm BVL 305 caliber required the movement design engineers of the Manufacture in Le Sentier to devise new solutions, such as the use of a micro-rotor and the optimal use of the space between the 408 components, without reducing their dimensions.

Inspired by life’s golden moments, Serpenti Seduttori is the latest rendition of one of Bvlgari’s most renowned watches: Serpenti. A tribute to the warmth and splendor of gold, the collection features styles in all three shades of gold: rose, white and yellow, with precious diamond and pave diamond variations.

Created to pay tribute to the ancient sundial, in a design that captures the power of light (« luce » in Italian), LVCEA is a synthesis of Roman symbols and Bvlgari signatures, a very recognizable watch on women’s wrists, and visibly evident as a Bvlgari design, even without a logo.

The collection was first introduced in 1975 as a limited-edition gift for 100 of Bvlgari’s best clients — making it an instant icon among Bvlgari’s clientele. With the inscriptions “BVLGARI” and “ROMA” engraved on its bezel and unexpected combination of a classic round yellow gold case, digital dial, and plaited rope with leather trim, it was quintessentially Bvlgari in the audacity of its design.

The watch represented the deep connection of the Bulgari family to Rome and made Bvlgari the very first brand to engrave its name on the case of a watch. The first Bvlgari Bvlgari collection, the natural evolution of the Bvlgari Roma watch, was officially launched in 1977.

The international success of the collection consecrated the entrance of Bvlgari in the watch industry.
